Remedial massage is used to locate and repair damaged areas of the body, and speed up the body's own healing process. It uses a combination of long, gliding strokes, kneading and deep pressure points to go deeper into the muscles and connective tissues to release areas of tension and pain. An initial consultation will involve a discussion and assessment with your therapist to ascertain the most likely areas which will need attention. You will be asked questions about health and lifestyle to help determine the cause of the issue, and you may be taken through a range of movements to assess your range of motion and level of pain or discomfort. Your therapist may advise a follow up appointment or a maintenance schedule to keep the body functioning more comfortably.

The main focus of a relaxation massage is to calm and relax the mind and body, to de-stress and unwind. A treatment will involve flowing strokes and kneading performed at your chosen pressure, with little deep tissue work. It usually involves the whole body (except in a short treatment), and is an incredibly effective way to reduce stress levels and tension, while also improving circulation, and releasing endorphins (yay for those "feel-good" chemicals!)

Health fund rebates are available for most health funds if you carry extras cover. You will be provided with a receipt via email. This will contain all the relevant information to forward on to your health fund who will arrange a rebate for you. This amount varies depending on your fund and level of cover. 

Please note, the health funds dicate that mobile massage services are not eligible for rebates.
